With a focus on studio-produced content, the alliance sets to establish the industry gold standard, providing a structured framework for directors, producers, and talent to ensure the safest possible sets and consistent industry best practices.
Leading studios have long prioritized performer safety. The purpose of ASA is to bring together existing best practices and standardize them across the industry in a unified and structured way. This initiative is not about the introduction of new safety procedures but rather creating the highest quality production environments to ensure performer safety is prioritized.
As a leader in trust and safety, Aylo is a proud co-founder of the ASA alongside Gamma, Dorcel, Erika Lust, Mile High Media, and Ricky’s Room representing a diverse and international group of studios.
At the core of the Asa is the Code of Conduct, which establishes a common set of values and guidelines, fostering a safe, healthy, and respectful environment on set for all performers and production staff alike. By sharing and upholding these guidelines, the ASA seeks to further the ongoing advancement of the adult industry. Member or not, we encourage all studios to adhere to the practices.
Key guidelines include:
- Full transparency on scene details, partners, acts, scripts, and conditions prior to booking.
- Performer empowerment through boundary checklists, pre-shoot discussions, and the right to call “cut” at any time.
- An intimacy coordinator, talent assistant or liaison be made available before, during, or after production.
- Strict health and safety protocols, including 14-day STI panel testing in accordance with PASS standards.
- Prohibition of drugs and alcohol on set, with clear guidelines for prescription medication.
- Crew and agency accountability, with requirements for licensing, transparency, and ethical representation.
